Recognized Energy and Sustainability leader with 19 years of experience in environmental design, policy, optimization, and innovation within the built environment. A Degreed Environmental Scientist and LEED AP specializing in zero carbon, zero waste, net-zero energy projects, and energy efficiency programs.

Sustainability influencer via TEDx talks, presentations to the US Congress and UN, a best-selling book, and production of a short documentary. Adjunct professor at the University of Houston. Honored to be one of the Environment + Energy Leaders 100 for 2021.

Mike has completed a research fellowship at Rice University on Resilience in the built environment after large storm events and with the National Science Foundation.
